1.1This provisional specification covers the technical, functional and qualitative requirements of Sleeping Bag (Down Filled) in three sizes viz. Small Medium (S-M).Medium Large (M-L) &Large Extra Large (L-XL).

1.2.Sleeping Bag governed by this specification is required to provide protection / comfort to the users under rough weather conditions (wind velocity more than 40 Km/hr) and extreme cold climatic conditions (minus 55C with wind chill effect) in the high altitude of 18,000 to 21,000
feet approximately.

1.3.This specification covers the requirement of sleeping bag with cover against Defence requirements and to provide guidance to manufacturers/suppliers, quality assurance agencies
and store holding depots.
The materials as follow :
Outer Bag:Fabric Nylon 66 Rip Stop PU coated, WR, OG 
Inner Bag:Fabric Nylon 66 Rip Stop Down proof finish WR OG
Carry Bag:Fabric Nylon 66 PU coated, Waterproof, OG/

Filling Material:
a) Outer Bag:Non woven hollow polyester fibre fleece batting in quilted form
consisting of two layers each of 145g/m2, total filling 290g/ m2.
The fibre should be conjugated, siliconized and oriented at
random spray bonding.
b)Inner Bag:Filled with new pure goose down.
Zip fasteners:Two-way, Open End Heavy Duty Zipper 150cm.
